Fly Hatches
The following photos represent some of the invertebrate populations found in Pennsylvania streams and rivers. The photographs will give you a good fundamental evaluation of what some of these critters look like close up. Unfortunately, like most of the streams and rivers of the nation our fly hatches are rapidly dwindling due to pollution, more stream management and the destructive practices by individuals, corporations and government. So enjoy them while you can because most fly anglers don’t seem to care about their environment enough to mount reply to the destruction of our streams.
