Pennsylvania is the number one state in the nation for pollution.  The state has the most water pollution in the country as calculated by their own data.  The state is also in the top ten for just about every other type of pollution from the air, water and land including mercury, toxic waste dumps and trash dumps.

The streams of the state are in serious jeopardy and the Bush-Cheney Regime’s exceptions to the Clean Water Act for mining of the Marcellus Shale using fracturing threatens not only water supplies but thousands of stream across the state.

The DEP in Pennsylvania is overwhelmed in the permitting and monitoring processes with fracturing. Furthermore, they seldom protect much anyway and are usually a facilitators of the permits rather than scientists reviewing the data objectively.

The state’s streams and rivers are being destroyed and it won’t get any better unless you decide to do something!!!!
