Cultivating a Greener Tomorrow
Organic soils, eco-friendly tools & expert guidance for every gardener.

Our Roots
Growing food shouldn’t cost the earth—literally. Founded on Bristol’s harbourside in 2012, GreenRoots Organic Supplies began as a small collective of allotment growers frustrated by the lack of truly sustainable materials on the market. We sourced local green waste, experimented with microbial boosters, and delivered our first bags of peat-free compost from a borrowed van.
Today, we serve gardeners across the UK with a curated range of soils, tools and advice that honour biodiversity and reduce carbon footprints. Our guiding mission is to make sustainable gardening accessible, affordable and delightfully productive for novices and experts alike.

Our Commitment to the Planet

Closed-Loop Composting
We collect green waste from local councils, process it using aerobic windrow methods, and return nutrient-rich compost to the community—creating a true circular system that keeps organic matter out of landfill.

Zero-Plastic Packaging
All our bags are made from plant-based, home-compostable film certified to EN 13432 standards—meaning they break down naturally in your compost heap within months.

Renewable Energy
Our Bristol facility runs on 100 % renewable electricity, reducing operational carbon emissions by 62 % since 2020. We publish audited energy reports annually for full transparency.
